Each year, Urbana Dance Studio holds their annual dance recital for the Fall/Spring students. Teachers begin teaching class choreography to their students beginning January/February. It is important for students to make every attempt to attend classes during this time. Students will also be sized for a recital costume that the studio will order. Occasionally, teachers will choose to ask students to wear something they may already have or can order easily. For those classes, parents will not be charged a recital costume fee.
Below are some very important dates. Please add them to your calendar and keep your calendar free during these times.
Last Day of Classes: June 6, 2026
Recital Rehearsal Week for Students: June 8-12, 2026 (specific schedule will be assigned)
Recital Date: June 13, 2026
Show Times: 10 am, 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm. Classes will perform in one show only.

Recital Costume Details
Costumes will be distributed in class as they are received by the costume companies. As they arrive, teachers are having students try them on to ensure fit. Please follow the care instructions that were sent home with your child's costume. If your child has not received their costume yet, please do not worry as some are not expected to arrive until early May. Parents are responsible for all extras (i.e., tights/socks, shoes, etc.) unless otherwise noted. Please be sure tights are new with no runs or holes. Shoes should be in good repair with no holes. Pre-Order Recital Bouquets We will have recital bouquets available for pre-order and to buy on-site. Pre-Order by May 31 to insure you have a bouquet there will be a few bouquets to purchase onsite Order/Payment by Venmo to @HomeplaceGardens Include "Dance 6/13 & Dancer's Name" in the Venmo Notes

Dress Rehearsal Schedule
Dress rehearsal will be held at Urbana Dance Studio in the Main studio at 3317 Worthington Blvd. Students will be required to attend their class dress rehearsal the week of June 8. A schedule is below. Students only need come on the day and block of time outlined for their class(es). Students will be required to wear their full costume, hair and makeup to rehearsal. This is to ensure each student has the appropriate costume including tights, shoes, etc. for recital. We will also be taking a class photo of all classes. Parents will have opportunity to take individual fun photos at a photo booth set up in the petite studio. Class Rehearsal Day & TimeWe will rehearse in the following order. If you have more than one class in a time block, please come dressed in your first class listed in that time block. Bring your other costumes as you will change. Arrive 5-10 minutes prior to start time. We will start on-time.
